Air Fried Tofu

The beauty of this recipe is that it's so simple. It DOES take time, but it's so easy it takes hardly any effort at all. Not only will it help you achieve your crispy tofu dreams, but also be well-seasoned and meal-prepped tofu.

2-4 servings


200-300g block extra firm tofu


¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

¼ cup low-sodium vegetable broth

1 tablespoon minced garlic

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tablespoon cornstarch


1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder


  1. Drain tofu and press for at least 15-30 min

  2. Meanwhile, add all marinade ingredients to a jar or ziplock and mix.

  3. Slice tofu into bite-sized cubes and add to marinade.

  4. Marinate for 15-30 min, constantly shaking to ensure even coverage.

  5. Drain marinade and reserve

  6. Whisk breading together and add it and the tofu to a large ziplock and shake until coated

  7. Air fry tofu at 200 degrees C for 10-15 min, shaking the basket frequently to prevent sticking

  8. Heat reserved marinade in a small saucepan until thickened
